Refinery material management

Turnaround, shutdown and outage material management for refining and petrochemical operators — and the capital projects that run between them.

PMM was built inside a refinery. In 2014 we developed the material management SOP for Phillips 66 in Torrance, California, and it became a company-wide best practice. Every other service line we run today came out of that work.

Turnarounds fail on materials more often than they fail on craft. The material is on site but nobody can find it; it is issued to the wrong work package; a crew of eight walks off the job for forty minutes to chase one gasket. We manage the material so that stops happening, and we report on it daily so turnaround leadership can see it happening.

How we deliver
Scaled to the turnaround curve

We staff up through planning and execution and demobilize on the same schedule your craft does. You are not carrying a fixed material crew through the back half of the job.

Our own software on site

EZTRAK runs the receiving, tagging, kitting and issue record. It works offline, and it was designed for people who do not use software as part of their job — learnable in minutes, usable in seconds.

Written procedure, not tribal knowledge

Every engagement leaves behind an SOP your team keeps. The Torrance SOP has been in place for ten years.
